Toys & Books
If children bring things from home to show us, or to lend for displays and topics, it does help if they are named whenever possible. Children are asked not to bring toys in on a regular basis unless they are necessary to help them settle.
We do, at present, have the opportunity to choose a library book each week to take home.
Money
Nursery education here is free. We do provide the children with a small varied snack and a drink mid session and for this we ask parents to make a contribution of £1.00 per week (we ask for 20p per extra session for full time children). This money is also used for buying materials for cooking and other equipment for nursery. Staff collect the money on Mondays at the end of each session.
Birthdays
When it is your child’s birthday we sit together to sing and share in the celebrations for this happy event. If you wish you can send in sweets, chocolate, cakes etc to share with the other children.
During the course of the year our children may need to be observed. This may be by ourselves, other professionals or students. This is part of normal school life. If you have a problem with this, please speak to us. We will ask your permission to take pictures or video your child.
Our aim is to help your child to grow and blossom in a loving, caring environment that will stimulate their all round development ‘and to have fun in doing so’ (School Aims Statement).
