The children benefit from a broad and balanced timetable. Nursery is now considered as your child’s first year of the ‘Foundation Key stage’ – this stage continues through the reception class. The Foundation stage has its own curriculum which provides for continuity over two years. Key stage one, with the introduction of the National Curriculum, begins at Year 1. We are during the second half of the Spring Term going to be studying 'Food, Healthy Eating, Mothering Sunday, Easter' and ' a visit to a Farm.' If you would like to see a copy of our curriculum and national guidelines please ask a member of staff. During our Ofsted Inspection in November 2002 the Early Years provision was praised as being one of the strengths of our school and described as ‘lively and exciting with a very broad range of interesting and purposeful activities’. We encourage all parents to follow up our topics at home. These include colours, the seasons, the weather etc.. There is a notice board outside the nursery, which shows the topic being covered. © All Saints Nursery 2010. All rights reserved.
